Jim has been lead trial counsel or sole counsel in more than 75 jury trials during more than 30 years of civil trial practice in the State of Florida. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of matters, such as: personal injury/wrongful death, construction defects, architect/engineer professional liability, commercial trucking, auto liability, and medical malpractice. He has been involved in multiple class action matters, including the DUPONT PLAZA HOTEL FIRE case in Puerto Rico, Asbestos litigation, Chinese Drywall litigation, and representing the manufacturer in many EPHEDRA NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT cases.

Jim is admitted to practice before the State Courts in Florida and the Federal District Courts.  He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, and has been involved with various Bar committees. A past vice-chairman of the Judicial Administration, Selection and Tenure Committee of the Florida Bar, he has also lectured on civil litigation topics in professional education seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar.

Jim graduated from The University of Scranton in 1974, with a B.S. in Political Science. He then attended Nova University Center for the Study of Law (now Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad Law Center), obtaining his J.D. in 1977, as a member of the Charter Class for the institution.  He is a member of The Florida Bar, The Federal Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
